Cotton Farming magazine, which co-sponsors the TCGA Annual Meeting and Trade Show, provides coverage of the event in its February and March issues as well as follow-up stories after the event is concluded.

Besides promoting this important meeting, the magazine contributes significant funding to support scholarship awards to deserving undergraduate students enrolled in Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

This year’s scholarship winners for the 2009-2010 school year are: August Floerke, a senior agricultural and applied economics major from Lampasas; Whitney Matthews, a sophomore agricultural communications major from Canadian; and Ward McCown, a senior agronomy major with a minor in agri-business, from Wolfforth.

Each of these Tech students received special $1,000 scholarships funded by Cotton Farming.

In addition, Floerke is the recipient of the prestigious Rocky King Memorial scholarship award.
